About me
With a background in design across different layers, my journey began in Istanbul and gradually led me to Cologne. During my bachelor’s studies, I developed an intercultural perspective and learned how social contexts shape ways of thinking, collaborating, and creating.
I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Integrated Design Research at TH Köln, Köln International School of Design (KISD). Alongside my studies, I work across interdisciplinary projects, combining research with real-world contexts.
I aim to understand how people, services, and processes come together to shape everyday experiences.
My journey
Foundations in Industrial Product Design
My bachelor’s studies in Industrial Product Design shaped how I think through making. Visual prototyping, form, materials, and iteration remain core tools in my design practice for exploring ideas and communicating them clearly.
Industry Experience in Automotive Production Systems
During my internship, site visits and hands-on exposure to automotive production environments showed me how design operates within complex industrial systems. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams sharpened my understanding of processes, constraints, and system-wide perspectives.
Experience Marketing
in B2B
Alongside my Master’s studies, I work in experience marketing within a B2B setting in digital car finance. This role deepens my understanding of stakeholder relationships, brand touchpoints, and experience creation across interconnected systems.
Studio Practice in Brand and Spatial Experiences
Working in retail and exhibition design introduced me to creating spatial and experiential concepts across brands. This studio-based practice strengthened my ability to translate creative ideas into coherent experiences within real-world constraints.
Design Research and Integrated Design Studies
Through my Master’s studies in Integrated Design Research at KISD, I am expanding my practice beyond making. Currently, interdisciplinary projects, qualitative research, sense-making, and reflective methods are central to how I approach and inform design decisions.
Intercultural Perspective Across Contexts
My journey from Istanbul through Schwäbisch Gmünd to Cologne fostered an intercultural perspective that continues to shape how I collaborate, communicate, and engage with others across disciplines and contexts.
